I am surprised and dismayed that I am only reaching my 100th outdoor ride of the year in late October. But, oh well—I'm doing what I can.
This morning's ride was cool and clammy—52° when I began at 9:30, and up to 55° at the end. And following the rain we got last night, both the ground and the atmosphere remained quite moist.
I rode the Packard/Platt Square. Happily near the end of my ride, I saw Doug Franklin, carrying out his daily walk (we saw one another right where Silo Ridge intersects with the Lohr/Textile Greenway. Shortly before that I was treated to the following example of autumnal color in Silo Ridge.
This gave me a ride of 13.5 miles in 1:59.
