What a MAGNIFICENT day today was for a ride—a real throwback to summer weather. It felt much more like June than like late October. When I began, at noon, it was 66°, and when I finished, it was 76°, with bright sunshine throughout. I rode the Packard/Platt Square.
When I passed by the spot (the intersection of Eisenhower and Industrial) where I collided with the truck on October 2, and ended up having to be ambulanced to the ER at University Hospital, it felt a little unsettling, But the trike is back in good working order now, and all went fine today.
With just under a mile to go, I passed my friend Doug Franklin, and when I went by him, I gave a fist pump and said, "SUMMER!" Doug laughed and replied, "Yeah ... it's back!"
This gave me a ride of 13.6 miles in 1:48.
