Today, on the third day of my Great Cycling Challenge (a fundraiser for kids' cancer), I opted to ride in the evening, rather than early morning as is my preference. This meant substantially warmer conditions than I like -- 78° when I began at 5:15, and "cooling off" to 77° by the time I was done. But it meant that I got to ride with my heart soaring, on the heels of a solid Tigers victory, which gave them a three-game weekend series sweep of the Chicago White Sox IN CHICAGO!
I rode the Platt/Packard Square at a reasonably good speed, even though I was not notably pushing myself hard.
