I'm feeling very well in the wake of yesterday's collision with a truck. I feel tremendously blessed to have experienced God's protection so dramatically.
However, my trike did not fare so well. When I got home last night, I checked our garage, where I had asked them to put it for me, and although I didn't realize this in the drama of the moment, my left handlebar snapped off when I collided with the truck, as this picture shows.
I took it to the dealer this morning, and they said they didn't have the part in stock, and would need to order it from TerraTrike, the Grand Rapids manufacturer. They hope to have it ready for me to pick up either late Thursday or on Friday.
So when I returned to Ann Arbor, I climbed on our stationary cycle and rode while watching my beloved The Sound of Music.
This gave me a ride of 32.4 virtual miles in 2:54.
